One of the Grooming Lounge’s founding principles and missions is to treat all guests with the same level of luxury service — no matter who they are, what they wear or how much they purchase. In our manual it actually states that we must always “treat Michael Jordan the shower curtain ring salesman no different than MJ the basketball superstar. Both are treated like kings.” Hey… anyone who’s entrusts their personal grooming to us should get an experience that goes beyond just dollars and cents.
That said, there still are a few gents who when visiting, turn a few more heads than the average fella. And while we would never I.D. these guests by name, a recent surge in GL visits by these celebrity types has at a minimum been “pretty darn cool.” Here’s just a taste of some of noteworthy guests we’ve had at our three store locations as of late:
– A former NBA All Star and 3-Point Leader had a head shave and executive foot treatment. He said “the whole foot thing would have added five years to his career had he started earlier.”
– Two former NFL Pro Bowlers, one a two-time Super Bowl Champ, got the works with us. We’re talking massages, cleansing facial treatments, business manicures and hot lather shaves.
– A recently departed member of the Presidential Cabinet stopped in to stock up on shaving supplies. His weapon of choice, an Axis Nitro Electric shaver and Jack Black Electric Shave Enhancer.
– A well-known, in-your-face comedian had his quarterly hot lather shave and said he’ll be back next time he’s in town.
– The star of a iconic ’80s television show hopped in and grabbed a Grooming Lounge Greatest Shave Ever Kit.
Of course, more importantly, ever other guest we appreciate came in as well. And just in case there was any question, all of the above were more than generous and kind.
