Services For Women? In A Roundabout Way We Provide Them.

At least 3-4 times per week we’re asked if Grooming Lounge provides services for the fairer sex.  It’s usually a question from a woman whose husband or sig other has been to one of our stores and enjoys the experience. “So… can I come in and get a haircut or manicure” is often how it’s posed.  The response is usually “of course, but you’ll get a haircut or such tailored for a man as that’s all we train on and focus on here.”  A little chuckle ensues as the no-doubt lovely lady pictures herself with a tightly cropped ‘do and then surrenders to the fact that her man will get treated like a king when here — while she’ll be forced to join the huddled masses at a cookie-cutter national women’s spa.

Please don’t mistake what we’re saying — our business wouldn’t be a business without women.  They are the best and several of the smartest ones around help us run this joint.  But with that said, this is a sanctuary for guys who want to be amongst guys while getting groomed. Prior to his wedding and pre Grooming Lounge, one of us Grooming Guys was told his mitts required a manicure before the big day and was forced to sit among more than a dozen women at a nail spa to do so. Anxiety sunk in and it was a horrible experience — thus one of the reasons for starting our company.

Anyway, all this rambling is just trying to say that at the end of the day… we really DO provide a service for women.  WE TAKE CARE OF THIER MEN – WE HAVE DESTINATIONS WHERE THOSE GUYS WILL GET STUFF DONE THEY WON’T GET DONE IN OTHER LOCATIONS.

 - Gal wants her guy to have less nasty feet?  He’ll come here for a Foot Treatment, but probably wouldn’t even try it somewhere else.

 - Lass wants her lad to have a less hairy back?  You think he’s hitting Susie’s Super Spa to do it?  We didn’t think so.

 - Femme want her man to get a real haircut?  He ain’t doing it next to the 8 ladies with foil in their hair talking shop.

So… it seems we serve both sexes equally.  Just in different ways.
