The Grooming Guys aren’t young bucks, but certainly wouldn’t be categorized as “older” gents either. Mid 30′s-ish is where we reside, as do probably a good number of our co-workers and personal friends. Reason we bring up this age demographic is because there are many men in this age segment who think they are too young to have hair sprouting in places they never dreamed. It’s not even a remote possibility as far as they’re concerned… and that’s why it’s all the more troubling and ultimately prevalent.
What were talking about here is EAR HAIR – and whether sub-40 guys like it or not – chances are good they have a strand or two sticking off those flappers on their heads (of course, the ear-hair-probability-factor or EHPF for gents older than that is even higher and more dense).
How do we know this ear-ry phenomenon is legit? WE HAD THEM. Of course, just a few here and there over the past few years, but our attention to detail helped us pluck the issue in the bud. We pulled the proverbial plug on those suckers before anyone noticed. That said, most guys don’t do the standard check and while the follicles may not be flowing, we’re willing to bet that upon further inspection, any guy reading this has at least one dangler on their dumbos.
Anyway, do something about it guys. Go to a mirror, flip your ears forward Dumbo-style and seek and destroy nasty hairs around the outer and inner rim. Any tweezer or targeted scissor can be your weapon, but it’s essential these be removed. Re-check again every two weeks as these hairs can come out of nowhere (no joke).
Lend us your ears brothers… then trim them. Please.
