7 Hair Tips From Our Grooming Experts

One of the things that sets Grooming Lounge apart as a online and product company is the existence and productivity of our brick-n-mortar stores. Without the daily hands-on work and experience gleaned from these destinations, we wouldn’t be such a “legitimate resource” for all things men’s grooming. But we do have these outlets — and the best thing about them — is that they’re staffed by creative and talented folks who  know what they’re doing.  So, here are 7 random tips these experts gave us on how guys can take care of “what’s on top.” img 5911wjpg034 235x300 7 Hair Tips From Our Grooming Experts

PICTURE THIS: If you’re unsure or uncomfortable explaining the haircut or style you’re looking for to your barber/stylist, bring in a photo. Whether of a celebrity, friend or an old shot of you, it helps the person with the scissors get an idea of the desired length, shape and volume.

READY, SET, GROW: A mixture of using hair products with Biotin and the taking of a daily vitamin seems to help with additional volume of hair growth. It certainly won’t turn Kojack into Trump, but it couldn’t hurt.

APPLY YOURSELF: Using a styling aid is key to getting a great finished look, but only if applied properly. The majority of styling products work best when used in at-least towel-dried hair — and most non-gel items should be broken down in the palms before being moved into hair. Once there, work the product tips to roots.  And remember… less is more.

GREAT NECK: That hair that usually grows on the back of a man’s neck between haircuts is not attractive to anyone. Such between-haircut growth should be trimmed by a barber or at home via a targeted trimmer.

SNAP OUT OF IT: Mint-infused shampoos and conditioners can really help provide a “wake-up” call for men. To turbo-charge the effect, let the conditioner sit for a minute in the hair and rinse with cooler water.

SOMETHING IS BETTER THAN NOTHING: Even men who don’t like the look of “having anything in thier hair,” should at least apply a hair cream or such to keep fly-aways and frizz in check. These creams just keep things tidy — nobody is gonna’ know.

THE EYES HAVE IT: OK, so it’s not the hair on top, but excessive eyebrow growth can be easily taken care of during your trip to the barber/stylist.  If those caterpillars are impeding vision — we’ve got a problem.
