Grooming is indeed our focus, but whenever we run across tips or thoughts that can make men better gentlemen, we’re required by code to pass them along to you. That said, we recently came across a clever book detailing 99 of the words gentlemen just shouldn’t say. It made us laugh out loud and we wanted to share a few snippets (that should be one of the words) from the book:
Men should never say:
- Dazzled: “I was dazzled by the performance.”
- Golly: “Golly, that is a lot of shrimp for one person.”
- Scoot: “Excuse me, do you think you could scoot over a bit.”
- Slacks: “Honey, where are my grey slacks?”
- Teeny: “This teeny adjustment to my hair makes all the difference.”
- Tinkle: “Is there a bathroom around here I can duck into for a tinkle.”
There are dozens more in the divine (that’s another one) book “Real Men Don’t Say Splendid” by Michael Gorman.
Toodles and thanks for visting www.groominglounge.com.
